Short recap (Spoiler warning):
Moomin is having a bad cold and is pining for Snufkin, who hasn't come back to Moomin Valley although it's spring already. Everybody is worried about Moomin and wondering what has happened to Snufkin, who always before has turned up at the first day of spring. Nobody knows that Snufkin has also had a horrible cold and is slowly, due to his weakness, making his way back to the Valley where Moomin can't take it nomore and decides to go and look for Snufkin, despite being so sick...

I really don't wanna ruin anybody's childhood, but seriously...

If you watch Moomin (But not in Swedish, it's kinda lame) there's a lot of adult-y stuff you don't catch up upon when you're a child... like for exampel Moomins obsession with Snufkin -cute, over-the-top~ish friendship, or something much more serious? And what's with everybody's more-or-less suicidal tendencies? "Yeayy, let's jump off a cliff! No, a flying ship! Ooh, I know, let's jump off everything there is!" Not to mention the really horrible way they treat Stinky... "Yeah, whatever, let's leave him hanging over an abyss to fall down when he gets tired while we're playing..." And the things they say... listen carefully and close your innocent children-hearing and you'll find some quite shocking things, especially if you close your eyes and just listen... that is, if you dare... It's dark, it's mean, and it's not really for children, but damn it's good!

And over all the less than children-friendly stuff is a thick, glittery pink-ish layer of sugary sweetness and love, and a hefty dose of cuteness. So if you don't wanna see it, it's pretty easy to miss. It's just like with fairies and ghosts, you gotta believe and want to see them...

Awww, how nostalgic... the Moomins... My all-time favourite is Snufkin (Snusmumriken) and recently I found a site where I could watch a lot of the Moomin episodes... so it was an all-day Moomin marathon XD

En av de übersöta sånger vi fick lära oss i början av sommaren på japanskan... eller, snarare så skulle vi lyssna och ta ut ord ur texten och översätta dem, men som den sånggalna person jag är... ja, jag lärde mig den på två lyssningar.
